Vintage Finds: Milk Glass & D. Porthault Tea Towels

Hey there everyone! We are packed to the brim with all of the goodies for February’s Heirloom Box! As we get ready to say goodbye to some of our favorite pieces that we have picked up over the last month, we wanted to highlight a staple of this months box. Milk Glass!! It’s gorgeous, neutral and all the rage. If you are a subscriber then you will be receiving at least one piece of milk glass! Yay!!

 

What is Milk Glass?

Milk Glass varies widely and was originally produced all the way back in the 16th century! It became very popular during the Victorian area, with a resurgence in the 1950s & 1960s. Milk Glass has once again popular with the arrival of the Modern Farmhouse trend that favors white decor.

Something we stumbled upon this time around was a handful of absolutely charming, D. Porthault vintage tea towels!! We cannot describe how exciting this find was! D. Porthault produces some of the finest French luxury linens! If you were to try to buy one of these individually you may be looking at a $30 auction price per towel! But don’t worry if you are a subscriber you may be lucky enough to have one of these beautiful hand towels all your own!
