On Fridays I like to share some of my favorites Instagram feeds or blogs. Today I am sharing one that I have become absolutely obsessed with!! Liz Marie Blog! If you are curious check her out at www.lizmarieblog.com!
If you follow my posts or are a subscriber, then you are well aware of our design philosophy of Authentic Design. I think that Liz’s home probably represents the best example of this I have found thus far. You can follow her on her journey as she restores her 1800s farmhouse in Michigan. Her vintage finds are absolutely gorgeous and are truly unique.
Neutral & Gorgeous
If you happen to check out Liz’s website or her instagram feed you can’t help but notice how she truly takes the neutral modern farmhouse palette and perfects it. She uses an abundance of white, off-white an beige to really make this look pop without risking being bland. Now this is a huge issue I see with the modern farmhouse lovers out there. I am generally left there rubbing my eyes from an all out assault of white, a complete white-out if you will. I’m am generally, totally over it. But Liz is an exception. She makes it work without over doing it. Why might you ask?? Because she is truly authentic in her design strategy. Unlike many who share their admittedly drool-worthy homes on social media, I don’t feel like Liz’s home blends in or looks like every other social media farmhouse guru. It makes me want to keep coming back to her posts over and over again to see what gorgeous goodies she has come up with.
More to come…
Like many of us chasing home decor perfection, Liz’s home is in a constant state of transition. Follow her on her journey as she beautifully and dutifully restores her home with a style all her own.
